The final obstacle is knowing how to avoid misusing information:
Plagiarism and Fair Use are troublesome. It's relatively easy to find information online, it's just as easy to use it without citing the source. Borrowing information without citing its source is a punishable offense. Students can be suspended and fail courses; adults can be sued for violating copyright and fair use laws.
The solution for students is knowing how to avoid plagiarism: how to use information word-for-word or paraphrased, how to cite it properly. The solution for adults is knowing how much information is legal to use, in addition to citing it.
